Welcome to the Guido Evangelistic Association internet ministry site. We are honored that you have come to visit us and pray that you will enjoy your time with us.
Sixty years ago God planted a seed in the heart of Michael and Audrey Guido. That single, simple seed was God encouraging them to begin a radio ministry. But how, that has grown. From a small community in rural Georgia, God’s message of love, hope and salvation is transmitted around the world on the radio, over television, in print and through the internet.
The initial “seed” was a radio program entitled “Seeds From the Sower.” Now, there are four different seeds aired on over 423 radio stations totaling more than 84,000 broadcasts annually. The current programs now include the one minute “A Seed From The Sower”, a five minute and fifteen minute “Seeds From the Sower” and “Sower Twenty Five”, a twenty five minute broadcast.
After the radio ministry was established, God encouraged The Guidos to begin a television ministry. Entitled “A Seed From The Sower” it is now viewed on 94 television stations at least twenty-five times each month. This amounts to nearly 25,000 “Seeds” annually. But that is the beginning. There are also telecasts on satellites, cable networks as well as the Armed Forces Radio and Television Network that reach our service members all over then world This network alone uses ten satellites along with digital compression networks to provide multiple television and radio services to military audiences in 176 countries and United States territories and aboard all U. S. Navy ships. This audience of military and military related personnel take the message to over 800,000 members and their families assigned overseas every day.
It was a hand-turned mimeograph machine that launched the publishing ministry of the Association. Copies of the now classic devotional booklet “Seeds From The Sower”, the popular tri-fold monthly “Sowing and Reaping” and the monthly sermon series are mailed to 33,000 addresses each month. When totaled together, the print shop produces over 1,500,000 pieces of literature each year. Added to the print ministry, however, is the publication “Seeds From The Sower” that is printed in 1,500 newspapers each week with a reading audience of 3,339,000 annually.
Another important ministry was launched in 2007: The Michael Guido School of Evangelism and Ministry. The School was established to provide a program of education for individuals who want to develop effective skills to enable them to become evangelists, pastors and leaders in local churches. The classes are taught by pastors who are respected and recognized for the significant contributions they have made and can serve as models and examples to the students who come from all walks of life.
Finally, there are the beautiful Guido Gardens. Here visitors are refreshed as they enjoy cascading waterfalls, shimmering streams, flowering plants, tall trees, quiet paths and The Chapel In The Pines. It. has become a well-known source of restoration for thousands of visitors each year. People come to the Gardens for peace and solitude where they discover an opportunity to be quiet and reflect of the marvels of God’s creation. In the month of December, however, the Gardens turn into the Nights of Lights when nearly 50,000 people come from all over the nation to view over 1,250.000 lights that announce the birth of Christ. Every visitor leaves with a Seed from the Sower and the true message of Christmas.
It is not possible to measure either in numbers reached or lives changed magnitude of the impact of the Guido Evangelistic Association. And it is all possible because of the faithful Friends of The Sower who so graciously support this ministry with their constant prayers and gifts. Thank you for sharing with us in this world wide ministry: That All May Know.
